Start snapping pictures! Gulfside Regional Hospice is holding a photo contest open to the public with all winners being featured in Gulfside’s 2009 calendar. Sixteen pictures will be selected for the 15-month calendar – a picture for each month and a cover shot. All entries are due by 5 p.m. on Sept. 30, 2008.
To be considered, photos must be shot in Pasco County and be able to be sized for printing at 12 inches wide by 9 inches high. Each photographer can submit as many pictures as they want, but in the final calendar there will be no more than two winning entries per person.
Winners will be selected by a volunteer committee made up of hospice staff and volunteers and notified by Oct. 10. All winners will receive five calendars as well as a gift certificate for Gulfside Regional Hospice’s Thrift Shoppe. The cover shot winner will receive a brick at Gulfside’s Memorial Garden honoring their accomplishment, as well as the other prizes.
Below are photo requirements and submission information for the contest:
• Digital photos should be submitted in original size (not exceed 6MB per photo) to GRHphotos@gmail.com. CDs of photos can be mailed to Gulfside Regional Hospice’s main office at 6117 Trouble Creek Rd., New Port Richey, FL 34653 attn: Community Relations Department. Include your name, e-mail address, home address and phone number on all submissions. Once photos are received, an e-mail will be sent to you acknowledging their receipt.
• Minimum resolution is 300 DPI. Black and white, vertical, date-stamped or digitally manipulated images will not be considered.
• If a person is visible in the picture, a signed photo release is required by the person. Contact the Community Relations Department at Gulfside at 727-845-5707, and a photo release form can be e-mailed, mailed or faxed to you.
• If your picture is selected for the calendar, an additional form will need to be completed by all winners allowing for Gulfside Regional Hospice use of your photograph free of charge - in the 2009 calendar, media releases, newsletter and Web site.
